Surprise update #2 of 2. If you haven't seen the previous one (posted just a few seconds ago), be sure to check it out!
Oh boy. Someone highly pissed. *_*
I love the textures and effects in the last panel. ^^
Everyone has a Red Button That Must Not Be Pressed. A reasonable person has a glass covering over the Red Button. The problem with this woman? She doesn't have that glass cover over her Red Button.
And I think she might have more than one Red Button. D:
There's actually this awesome anime about a girl named Kyoko who's red button is pushed by this guy named Sho. It's a manga too. It's called Skip Beat. Sho makes her so angry that she actually looses her ability to love and show affection really, and she slowly has to gain it back. It's very good. ^^
I'm of the belief that every longform story should have each of the main character's Red Button pressed at least once!
I really need to start reading this :) and I'm subbing!
I love love LOVE your world, and as usual, your art is TOP NOTCH. There is no part of these pages I am not 150% in love with! Seriously!
And you have shown how unexpectedly bad*ss plant magic can be.
Also, I am fond of the bit a couple pages back about not having a word for suyori, since they all do it. Brilliant!
Kurama was one of my favorite characters from Yu Yu Hakusho (the manga, not the anime), and he has shown me how deadly plant magic can be! Even though it wasn't why I liked the character, it's definitely left its mark on the creative part of my brain.
I imagine the Elyath language having a word for suyori is like a human language having a word for "a person who can speak." What it DOES have is a word (wordS, actually... at least two) for people who can't do it, just as human languages have words for mute people.
Her blood definitely runs hot. Ironic for a woman with plant powers, since plants are usually associated with serenity.
