Ethan lucked out with his first telefrag experience and underestimated how bad it can get. Thank goodness he has somebody to drive home the point.

Maaan, I remember I used to tutor kids for a while and teaching English language arts was so hard sometimes because I didn't know how to explain it because it already made sense to me. Being a good teacher means having to understand from the perspective of somebody who is totally clueless.

Kudos to you! A good teacher should be able to have an understanding about what you just said. A few of the teachers I had (of different things) had this understanding, most, well, hadn't.

This is actually a serious difficulty with teleporting: Not arriving where something already is. And air is everywhere. When Ethan teleported the first(?) time, I got the impression that it was like sliding out of one physical location/existence(?) and sliding back in at another location. If it is like that, then air or water wouldn't be a problem but one could still slam into something solid at the destination. Now getting a bean under one's skin... shouldn't happen if it's a smooth, sliding landing. And getting mixed up with an object like a chair - what about the clothing the teleporter wears? It's right outside their skin, if it would merge with just the outermost layer of skin... or with the fingernails... ew!
