Now you know why Wei Yun brought the dead dragon along.
I guess that expains a number of things, doesn't it?
Also, maybe before taking Ethan behind the scenes, telling him "by the way, trees of life are made of dragon remains so you're about to see some gruesome stuff" would have been prudent. I mean, he would probably still react badly, but a little heads-up man, is that so much to ask?
They probably don't even think of this as anything gruesome.
Okay, this entire comic is gorgeous, but the colors and silhouette on that last shot is just... indescribably so. I feel like nothing short of me baking you a cake will properly express how incredible it is.
I would be honored to (digitally, alas) accept your cake!
Th-the tree of life of this little village spoke to Ethan. The imagination th-that a new tree of life is someh-how made from the dragon that Ethan killed gives me *shivers*!
OMG, so many things come together at this time: Ethan killed the dragon to protect Danbi, who is now relatively save, but this brought Ethan in this situation.
Is it still luck (good or bad) if your decision was practically forced by your moral values? (<- might be not correct English, I hope it's understandable.) Ethan's "punishment" for killing a dragon baby will be to make use of it.
That last panel! You’ve got to be kidding me. The suggestion of a figure in the door... this is real art. And let’s not forget all the colors in his eye, especially in the third panel. Goddamn it!
