Wait! What about the pay? And health insurance? One always has to check the fine print!

Ethan finally finds a purpose in life other than merely existing!
I wonder how much "choice" Ethan will be accorded, and the difficulty in making that decision...

I would definitely want a detailed instruction manual, if I were in his situation.

Ethan's jumping at this offer faster than I expected. I'm a little worried that he's not thinking this through. I suspect Lu has the same doubts.

But what really worries me is these people going "Oh, you're not even gonna take five minutes to think this over? Good, good, let's strike while the iron is still ready to sign its life away."

To their credit, they're only taking him in for a demonstration rather than a signature. But you're right; they really should be saying "so think about this very carefully"!

I knew it.

And like Ethan, I would jump at the opportunity, to do something helpful, something needed.

What's there to think about? Ethan can keep an eye on Danbi, life would be simple but relatively safe. What he loses is the opportunity to roam the world freely, but what value has that really? We already know that it's dangerous. And he'd lose the possibility (if there even is one) to go back to earth.

There is one great danger: If the queen finds out about all this, it would be total game over. But this danger exists independently of Ethan and would affect him no matter what.

What concerns me: "The twins are skin and bones" - why? Not enough food? That would be bad for Ethan, too.

(And I see an unknown factor: Lushaka and the Hornets. Their solution would be to kill Danbi and burn his body. Are they fine with this?)

Even if they obviously, desperately want him to choose this path, I'd think they'd at least want him to think about/ realize how serious this is. But maybe they assume he's already, fully realized it the moment he heard what it was about.
