It's almost like he resents his mom more than he loves his dad. Sometimes it's hard to tell.
D: Ethan's eyes in that last panel... so sad... ;___;
Btw... Danbi's hair looks gorgeous in every single panel he's in, how do you do this >___>;;;
Everyone has a sensitive spot or two, and Ethan wears his on his sleeve even if he won't talk about it.
and thanks! I'm looking forward to drawing him with his hair just flowing freely, i.e. not in a braid. It's not gonna happen anytime soon, but it will be fun when the time comes.
Normally I'd make a joke about the title drop, but it's actually done quite seamlessly here, as we get into Ethan's larger quest and conflict.
Aw, what would a title McGuffin comic be without title drop jokes, though?
Thanks for the insightful comment in the comment exchange thread, BTW. I'm looking forward to letting the characters explore their own motives as they learn more about the situation and themselves.
Now it's Danbi's turn to be confused by Ethan's family dynamics.
Danbi isn't the nosy type, but you're right, they do both have very unusual family situations. Potential bonding material?
Wow... there's some pretty dense emotion here... Nicely done!
Ahhh that was done so well, very nice name-slip, Keiiii!
As a few others have mentioned the emotions are portrayed spot-on here. I'm looking forward to seeing how the journey goes for Ethan and Danbi. :) I love this so so much because I really don't know what to anticipate much(Will it go as expected or go somewhere else entirely). It's very cool!
Thank you! This scene involved a lot of trial and error, which means a lot of second- and third-guessing, so I wasn't feeling so sure about it. Good to hear it "worked" for you. ^^
Nice title drop there :D
Also, just a very well done page in general, great emotions here :D
(I know this will break the atmosphere but)
