Somehow I don't think Lu would be flattered much by being compared to a common animal.
Ethan's saving grace is that Lu still isn't fully sure what this "zoo" is. (Keol does have small zoos here and there, but they're mostly private collections of Rich People rather than public places) Also that Lu is rather busy thinking about Other Things...
I have to join in the chorus of praise for this comic. I didn't comment on pages from a couple of years ago, but to summarize here, I am blown away with every page. Your coloring is that of a master. Things like the way you do sunlight shining through leaves gives me a total eyegasm! You are also a master of perspective and composition, wow! As for the story, I was as confused as Ethan was at the beginning, and learned what was going on as he did. That was just as it should be. The way this complex story is unfolding is equally masterful and I love the setting. I'm hooked!
Wow, I'm blown away that you're enjoying the comic so much! Thank you for your comment! There's some really big stuff just around the corner in the story, and I hope you will enjoy!
JOOC, do you have any favorite character or a favorite scene so far?
I suppose my favorite character is Ethan because I can identify with him the most. As for a favorite scene, there are so many it's hard to pick one. Ethan's flashbacks about his Dad and his interactions with Lu as a cat come to mind. The landscapes, the cityscapes and the impression that I'm viewing an actual ancient alien culture make this comic rock solid. Thank you for the privilege of allowing us to read this!
Whoa, I thought I'd replied days ago... Apparently not!
Thank you for your thoughts! It's super interesting to me how there seems to be two main camps of POVs among the readers: camp Ethan's POV, and camp Anonymous Third Person.
(There was also a third camp back when I was running this in Korean: camp Whichever Prominent Korean Character of the Scene. Korean readers seemed to see Ethan as they would see a foreigner friend among them!)
