Update 2 of 2.
Not her first time feeling betrayed in the story...
Them? Should we the readers know them and the incident in question? I'm confused: I don't remember them being around when she was hit on the head but that's when she lost her powers.
They've been traveling with her for a while (they're the people at the beginning of this chapter), so they had plenty of time to find out . But more likely, they were informed of her situation by Lushaka (or whoever contacted them on Lu's behalf) before they even went to pick her up.
Thanks! Whew... If Lushaka knew or suspected that they would try to capture her and had them informed anyway, then I think he's not the right one for Ethan - too much difference in personalities, I'm sure that Ethan would never do such a thing. Ethan isn't all naive and killing off the terrorists on the train is one thing, but such a thing as this here is quite another level of betrayal...
That said & thinking about it... and even taking into account that Lushaka doesn't like her much... He didn't strike me as that mean/cold-blooded.
Edit: 2 typos removed.
Yeah, if he sold her out simply because he didn't like her attitude... that would be a pretty big red flag!
beautiful pages but its always that way and now this lady is going to have super trust issues smh hope nothing bad happens to her
Yep... Even if she manages to get away without physical injuries, the emotional damage is already there.
I wouldn't taunt her if I were you. Loss of powers or not, you have no idea what her physical prowess is, and it's best to assume she's tougher than she looks given her employment history.
Indeed! She dodged the net quite easily so they should know by now that they already underestimated her.
