Blue balloons = new language! Some of the words are still black with white borders, though, meaning they're in Keol (-ese? -ian?). The Rencho language does not have any archery-related words, plus "Arrowcatcher" is kind of like a proper noun.
ooh, I think the name thing might be a sensitive subject..
Your language-specific bubbles do a good job of cluing in the audience. I figured it was a new language being spoken even without your comment.
By the way, I know he's bluffing, but that moment of fanboying was hilarious and adorable.
The ":D!!!" face was actually kind of disturbing to draw XD
Oh, right. New language. Very cool! :3
Arrow catching. Sounds painful. :/
If you're catching them with your face, definitely painful.
Or with hands, too, I guess, if you get friction burns (certainly a possibility)?
And now he's in niiiiiiiice and close. Mayhaps there's a cat-fight coming?
I shudder to think about what a fight between two of these people would look like. Regular fur-flying cat fights scare the hell out me. Though I guess this might be more like a brawl between two tigers...
I am constantly amazed at how pretty the artwork is in this comic.
Maybe he picks the arrows up off the ground after they've been used. That's not as glamorous, but it's still a useful service.
That was definitely a thing back in the days in our world!
Is there any earth equivalent to...Renchon(Renchion? Renchese?) I guess it'd be called?
I was wondering, since Keol(ese/ian) is equivalent to Korean.
It'll be a conlang when I figure out its phonology, grammar, etc. I'd initially thought it'd be semi-similar to Sanskrit, but that might not be the case anymore.
