The elephant in the room.
This scene played out WAY differently in the first edition, which was released only in Korean. A few things that were very clear in the first edition became ambiguous in this one -- e.g. did Lushaka mean to do this?
The ambiguity is unintentional, but in retrospect, I'd say it goes well with the character. He's meant to be more distant, not the easiest to figure out.
I realize that can backfire by being too confusing, though. Let me know what you think! (and no, that's not code for "give me praises." XD)
Lushaka too, huh? The monarchy *really* isn't going to be happy when they find out that two of their best operatives just crippled each other. What a fiasco.
I'm not sure what this girl's story is, but she's handling things way better than I would have imagined. she's been betrayed, and crippled. You can really feel for her.
She may actually be going through a mild version of dissociation right now...
Sure looks like an uncomfortable situation... I can really feel the characters' pain here, great work!
Given that Lushaka is a cat, being somewhat inscrutable is a fitting trait for his character. Personally, I'm on the "He didn't mean to do this", because it makes perfect sense to me that he could have crippled her without meaning to. I can't think of a lot of reasons why he would go to such lengths on purpose, unless it was just a way to slow her down on the hunt. Still, I don't think that was his plan, exactly. Whether he regrets it all that much remains to be seen. I'm looking forward to seeing what his reason was for leaking information, though.
His reason behind this whole ordeal speaks volumes about his character/values. I'm sad that it'll take a very long time to fully explain it, but hopefully it will all be worth the wait!
Dang. I think things are about to get so much more real. See I'm torn, it's not fair that she lost her powers, but she tried to hurt my favorite character...I just...I'm just torn...-_-
People can be cruel, but sometimes life is the most cruel of them all.
I wonder if losing one's power equals to temporarily having a concussion here. Is it a rare condition?
It's extremely rare among Elyath born in their home world, as the ability is necessary for daily survival. D: An affected Elyath in their home world would need a dedicated helper 24/7 until they recover, if they recover at all.
Given how Adela earlier boasted that Elyath don't have a word for suyori because all of them have those powers, the extent of the loss she and Lushaka must feel is profoundly terrible (if technically deserved).
