How long does it take to make all these repeating patterns? Even if you're using a copy stamp, it's got to take a while. I know the patterns aren't supposed to be the focus, but I'm absolutely terrible at patterns even with tools to help me, so it's really impressive to me how well you do it.

IMO, the key is identifying the simple components that make up the seemingly complex whole, because anyone can draw those simple parts. "That's a half circle, a 3 laying sideways, two squiggles on the left, and two more on the right. Add three dots." Anyone can draw a(n imperfect) half circle or a 3 or a dot!

I like to put each color on its own layer when doing pattern-y stuff, though... and my computer does not like that at all.

That sounds simple in theory, but whenever I try it, I can never get the patterns to look symmetrical. It's always lopsided. You're really good at making everything have just the right proportions.

You can draw just half of it, duplicate the half, flip it and make it symmetrical! That's what I did for the big frame. I did all the patterns on the left side, and the right side is a flipped duplicate.

Ah. That's good advice. I still struggle even with the tiny details, so maybe I should try using that for small repeated patterns and work my way up. Thank you.
