His roots are showing, in every sense. :P

Well, he is making a pretty strong statement by exposing Danbi's secret. The statement being "You're one to talk about deception when you've been lying to us the whole time." And actually, considering that both lies have pretty justifiable reasons behind them, if they can actually get up to being civil with each other, this could be a learning experience where they start understanding the other person's point of view and situation. As much as I tend to stick up for Lu, he does poke the beehive and lot and he could stand to meet Danbi halfway right about now.

I'm not so sure that Danbi's been deceptive -- he didn't volunteer a piece of irrelevant information, sure. I think Lu's strategy is just to find something to blackmail him with rather than have this discussion.

He doesn't just poke the beehive; he does so with GLEE.

Note that while Danbi never really had a reason to tell Ethan or Lushaka about his hair, he did lie about it to Master when he gave her the hair earlier in the chapter!

Ooh. I assumed he was telling the truth there. I guess he -- or others -- can make it change color?

Oh, Master assumed the hair must be his mother's, which he never corrected. No changing colors involved. Danbi's mom has the same hair color as Danbi (except for his black hair), white and blue.

Right, gotcha. He must have to braid it extremely carefully to avoid any blue poking through.

> Danbi's mom has the same hair color as Danbi (except for his black hair), white and blue.

There seems to be a self-contradiction in this sentence, unless you mean that Danbi's hair (unlike his mother's) is mostly black with strands of white & blue mixed in.

That aside, I don't get it. May I get a hint/link in case I missed something, please? In case I didn't... What could be the reason for Danbi to hide that his hair is like his mother's in the first place? Lushaka seems to know but Ethan is (probably) as clueless as I am, so: Will this be explained later on?

And Melaredblue mentioned "pretty justified reasons", what are they? (OK, Lushaka explained his reasons right here...)

Look at that last panel! Danbi DOES have some white and blue hair, hidden among the black :D

Lu didn't explain his reasons, but you can infer them from the way others treated him. When everybody assumes you're a born rapist based on your race, saying "well guess what, you're wrong because [insert false reason]" is pretty understandable. The false reason in this case is that he's been castrated (which he wasn't).

Thank you.

> Look at that last panel! Danbi DOES have some white and blue hair, hidden among the black :D

Yes - what I don't get is why would Danbi want to hide that fact: He is the son of his mother, this seems to be commonly known, and at least his master knows or knew his mother, so (I think) it should not be a big surprise if his hair is similar to his mothers. What's his reason to hide the white-blue strands?

Lushaka's tattoo not being in agreement to his, ahem, capabilities... I understand his reasoning like so: "You accuse me to be a potential rapist by a race-prejudice that is wrong and only exist in your race's mindset, and if you want to stick to a prejudice instead of considering the person, even after I have explained why said prejudice is nonsense, then I show you a fake tattoo to counter your prejudice. Both the prejudice and the tattoo are wrong, so we are even."

I'm only having a problem with Danbi.

Maybe he doesn't want to be seen as any more different from the definition of a "normal guy" than he is already? Plus, Elyeo hair is known to be a coveted black market item. Not a bad idea to keep it hidden if you ask me.
