Two-page update, 2 of 2. If you missed the previous one, be sure to check that out!

What a weird turn of events, huh? I hate to explain this here (I fully believe the story should speak for itself, ideally) but this is all going somewhere, I promise.

This is strangely satisfying (even though it has a big part of sadness in it), just because it's just exactly what Ethan would do. And we learned a bit about some of the others. I see some promise of development within the story. Absolutely :)

Edit: Huh, I'm not sure whether I really said/expressed what I wanted to.

That might be the best reaction I could have hoped for. It makes me happy to know that you're getting to know these characters better! The fact that you can tell "X is very much what he/she would do/say/feel" is going to be... pretty critical for the next set of scenes.

The Doodler

Even if that guy who fell was a bandit or something, that's still a gutpunch. Such a pointless death. :/

Yeah... The fate of this trio is still a WIP for karma, and you can tell.

Well this is bound to make for a lovely campfire story tonight.

Ethan's compassion is admirable as always. I know the world around him is not the nicest place, but I kind of think Ethan's world has kicked him around a lot too. At this point, his own trials have already shaped him to be a nice person even in a bad situation. Let's hope he sticks to that. I think he will.

He's still a work in progress (aren't we all?), so parts of him are still malleable... but hopefully the trials that lie ahead won't twist his compassion into something else!
